It seems like everyone in Blogland had a turkey craft going on this week. We were no exception! :) Don't you love how I make it sound as if there is an actual place called Blog Land. haha Anyways, before making our paper plate turkey we read some cute turkey books.
A Plump and Perky Turkey by Teresa Bateman
Sometimes it's Turkey, Sometimes it's Feathers by Lorna & Lecia Balian
To make our paper plate turkey I started by using a craft knife to cut a triangle in the paper plate for a beak.
Then we painted the beak yellow, the face brown, and used a variety of colors to paint feathers around the plate.
When our paint was completely dry, we glued on 2 white circles with googly eyes for the eyeballs and a waddle that I cut out of a red foam sheet.
They turned out so cute! I just love seeing the different colors my boys each chose to decorate their turkey with. And of course I made one too! :)
