The Couponizer Giveaway

This Giveaway is now closed.
Congratulations to Comment #20, Kala, who is the winner of The Couponizer!!

The last couple months I've been feeling depressed whenever I leave the grocery store. I look at the food I purchased and ask myself, "How in the world did I just spent this much money on this little amount of food?" I have really wanted to get into couponing to start saving money on my grocery trips, but it seemed so involved and I didn't know where to start.

To my surprise, The Organized Parent recently sent me the 10th Anniversary version of The Couponizer, which is the #1 selling coupon organizing and shopping system in the US and Canada. First off, I was surprised at how compact it was. I expected to have to take some huge binder to the grocery store if I used coupons. I was wrong! The Couponizer fits perfectly in my purse.

As a newbie to couponing, I had no idea what to even expect when I opened The Couponizer. I learned quickly that it is more than just a place to store your coupons. You can write your grocery list, track your savings, and it even has a convenient place to carry your store loyalty cards. I can't tell you how annoying it is for me to fumble through my wallet and purse trying to find those loyalty cards at the checkout. It even comes with extras like the clear carrying bag and a small pair of scissors.

I especially loved how the organizing system included sections for Shops & Retail and Sweepstakes, Refunds & Rebates. I can't count how many times I have received special rebates, discounts or coupons to different retail stores but have neglected to keep track of them or their expiration dates, thus making me miss out on valuable savings. Having a place to neatly store these items now is going to make a huge difference!

I haven't actually taken my Couponizer to the store yet but after familiarizing myself with the system, I already feel confident that I will love it! As a newbie to couponing, I definitely recommend giving The Couponizer a try! Now I just need to get to clippin those coupons...

Oh my gosh this looks like a PERFECT solution to all of my coupon problems (mainly, forgetting them at home)!

One thing I do to save money at the grocery store is we only buy meats when they are on sale, and we buy them sometimes even if we don't need them if they are on a good sale. Then we bring them home and freeze them, and can use them whenever we need to. It's nice because it means our meat is always pretty cheap, and we always have something in the freezer if we've been delinquent about getting to the store. :-)

Love this!!! My tip would be: to make the most out of your coupons, pair them up with a sale and better yet at a store that will double or triple the value!

The only money saving thing I can think of is that we grow a lot of our veggies and I can/freeze them in the summer for enjoyment all winter. We also butcher in January/February for meat all year long without having to purchase at the grocery store.

Oops, I also try to stack the coupons. I will use a manu coupon and a store coupon plus if it's on sale most time it's almost free.

I follow via google reader. Thanks for the wonderful chance!

My money saving tip: I try to only go to the grocery store until we are out of EVERYTHING! I make a list of possible snacks/meals I can make with the last few ingredients we have! It is harder work, but worth it not going to the store to have something 'convenient'. Wonderful giveaway!

My best tip is to work around sales. I only cook for two, so I'm sure that makes things a lot easier... I've gotten into the habit of stocking up on meat we use a lot while it's on sale and freezing most of it.

And I just went to follow you on fb, and realized I already do! :) Thanks for such an awesome giveaway! I couponed pretty intensely for about six months, but felt like I wasn't making use of them enough and fell off the wagon. I think a using this to be more organized would make me give it another shot!

My money saving tip would be to make a weekly menu and stick to it. Only buy the grocery's you need for that week. I plan out a month in advance and only have to grocery shop once a month, with a few trips in between for milk and bread. I have saved lots by doing this and find that I really don't need all of those extra's I was throwing into my basket every week!

My tip is to grow a garden each year. Last year I planted lettuce and it came back! I didn't have to do anything and I had beautiful heads of lettuce for nothing! (I also did that with chard and strawberries too!).

Thanks!
