Cupcake Liner Chicks

I have obviously found a new obsession with cupcake liners. I saw these bright yellow mini cupcake liners on clearance and I knew instantly what cute little spring craft to make with them…Little Chicks. I haven’t made these with my kids yet because I’m waiting on some chick books that I put on hold at the library, so this was my trial run on the craft. I was so excited about them I had to share in advance.  🙂

Supplies you will need:

Directions:

1. Start by gluing several mini cupcake liners onto your green cardstock paper. I used 5 cupcake liners.2. Cut little diamond shaped beaks out for all your chicks, fold them in half and glue them onto your chicks together with googly eyes.

3. Cut little heart shapes out of your yellow tissue paper and glue them onto your chicks for wings.
4. Finish your chicks by drawing on feet with an orange crayon or oil pastel.

I heard that my local Cal Ranch Store has baby chicks in and I can’t wait to stop by with my kids to check them out to go along with this craft. Do you visit a local farm to see baby animals in spring? You might also enjoy these crafts:
