A Happy Homemade Space Shuttle Craft

Some amazing bloggers I know have worked together to create an ebook full of fun kids’ projects and crafts. I excitedly get the chance to show you a sneak peak of the book today.

Happy Handmade is a 115-page book full of fun projects to make with and for your children. From the instant you set eyes on the inside of the book you are mesmerized by it’s gorgeous design and photographs.

After reading through the book I had a hard time trying to decide what project to do first with my kids because honestly, they are all fantastic! There is something for everyone in the book: puppets, art, sewing crafts, crafts made from recyclable materials and even nature-inspired crafts.

Ultimately, my kids decided they wanted to make the awesome Space Shuttle Craft made out of an empty cardboard roll first.

The materials list and instructions for each craft are clearly laid out on the pages and there are patterns at the end of the book for any of the crafts that require them.

After I cut out the pieces for our Space Shuttle Craft, we hot glued them together and my kids painted the space shuttles. It only took a bit of time for them to dry.

What I adore most about this craft is that it’s sturdy and kids can use it for play. My children put some of their Star Wars figurines in their shuttles and after they flew them around the house for an afternoon, I am happy to report the space shuttles are still intact and ready for flight again soon.
