Fruity Cheerios Cereal Leprechaun Craft for Kids

I recently purchased a box of Fruity Cheerios so my kids could try out the fun Skylanders Skystone game that is inside select General Mills cereal boxes right not (my boys are obsessed!). When I was deciding which cereal to buy this fun idea came into my head to use the orange Cheerios to make a Leprechaun beard. If you have kids who love to play with their food and you want to incorporate a craft with a special snack, try making this adorable Leprechaun Craft for Kids.

Supplies you will need:

  • blue, green, yellow and black cardstock paper
  • manila file folder
    (or tan/skin color cardstock paper)
  • googly eyes
  • Fruity Cheerios Cereal
(or any similar cereal with orange o’s)
  • crayons
  • scissors
  • glue
Directions:
1. Start by cutting out a face and ears from your manila folder. I always keep some manila folders on hand for crafting because the color works great for making faces. You could also just use any tan color paper. Glue the pieces onto your blue paper.
2. Cut a Leprechaun hat out of your green cardstock paper and glue it above your face. Also, cut out a black strip and buckle from your black and yellow cardstock paper and glue those pieces onto your hat.
3. Glue on your googly eyes and use your crayons to draw a face on your Leprechaun: eyebrows, nose, mouth and freckles.
4. Finish your Leprechaun by gluing your orange Fruity Cheerios all around your Leprechaun face and at the bottom to make a beard.
