Ladybug Alphabet Match Activity

I am a huge fan of uppercase and lowercase letter matching activities for my preschooler. She really struggled getting a handle on lowercase letters this past year but creating all of our letter matching activities like our Flower Alphabet Match and our Alphabet Snowman Match has really made a huge difference for her. Today our creative preschool theme is Bugs and I decided to put together this fun Ladybug Alphabet Match Activity for my daughter. She loved putting all the spots on the ladybugs!

Supplies you will need:

Directions:
1. Start by printing off the Ladybug Alphabet Match Printable.
2. Write your lowercase letters onto your black labels with your white chalk marker. NOTE: If you don’t have black labels, you can just use white labels with the letter written in black or I chose to paint my labels with black acrylic paint before writing on them.
3. Let your preschooler remove one label at a time and find the correct match on the ladybug. I like to ask my preschooler questions while she is doing the activity like: What letter are you matching now? What sound does this letter make? Can you think of a word that starts with that letter?
I also included a blank version of the Ladybug Alphabet Match Printable so that you can customize the activity any way you choose. You can write lowercase letters inside the ladybug spots, or numbers, or you can choose to focus on only a few letters at a time. It’s completely up to you!
My daughter really enjoyed the cute ladybugs and after she was finished matching all the spots, she was able to hang it up and display it like cute artwork.
