Paper Plate Monster Kids Craft

We like not-so-scary monsters at our house. Scary monsters, forget about it!..but colorful, happy monsters are welcome in my home. In fact, we have several favorite children’s books with happy monster characters. I’ve been eager to use some fun adhesive holographic puffy wiggly eyes that our friends at Craftprojectideas.com sent to us, and creating this colorful Paper Plate Monster Kids Craft was the perfect combination for such fun wiggly eyes. This is that type of evergreen craft that is perfect year round. It’s perfect for a rainy day, for family night, a play date or even at school.

HOW TO MAKE A PAPER PLATE MONSTER KIDS CRAFT

Supplies you will need:

Directions:
1. Start by painting your small paper plate with the color of your choice. Set it aside to dry completely.
2. After your paper plate has finished drying, decorate it with the wiggly eyes. Also, cut a mouth out of your construction paper and glue it onto the paper plate.

3. Cut 3 long strips from your construction paper. Cut each strip in half and then bend the strips accordion style. We used matching colors but use as many colors as you want. Also, you may decide you want more arms and legs than we used, so use as many as you’d like.

4. Use your stapler (adult assistance may be needed) to staple the arms and legs onto your monster.

CHILDREN’S BOOKS WITH MONSTER CHARACTERS
